Aspiring to empower all learners, Dr. Warren created a special degree program that united course-work and research in Special Education, Educational Psychology, School Psychology and Adult Education. Her doctorate in Education from the University of Georgia focused on the life-long issues of learning, the impact of learning difficulties across the life-span, and comprehensive diagnostic evaluations. She also has a masters degree in Educational Psychology. Here, she studied life-span development, learning and cognition. Last, but certainly not least, Dr. Warren has a bachelors degree in fine arts. This, she reports, is "my secret weapon" which helps her to integrate creative visuals and manipulatives into her ever expanding work. For the past 15 years, she has conducted teacher training in private and public schools as well as colleges. Dr. Warren has also run two college programs for students with learning disabilities and opened her own private practice, Learning to Learn.
Approach:
At present, Dr. Warren devotes most of her time to to creating educational materials and working with students on an individualized basis as a "personal trainer for the brain." Dr. Warren does not have a specific program, instead she creates a unique, multisensory plan for each learner designed to maximize potential and remediate areas of weakness. Learning games that ignite joyful learning, compensatory learning strategies, executive functioning coaching, mindful and critical thinking, strengthening of cognitive weaknesses as well as remedial reading, writing, and math methods are common aims. Dr. Warren founded Learning to Learn in 1999 and Good Sensory Learning and Dyslexia Materials, online stores of her products, soon after.

Becky Scott is an energizing and skillful communicator who, as a certified and experienced coach, has a passion for helping parents and young adults with learning issues navigate productive, balanced and successful lives.
Having raised children with learning disabilities, she understands the isolation, stress and worry that can come as a result of the learning issues. Working with research-based skills and building new awareness with her clients, Becky is committed to helping transform your experience with learning disabilities into one of hope and confidence.
Certified as a Professional Coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) in 2010, Becky runs the Coaching Division for The Center of Psychological Services in Ardmore, Pennsylvania and is currently President Elect of the ICF, Philadelphia Chapter. She will be President in 2014.

About David Morgan, MSc
Background:
David Morgan is an engineer by training, and spent a few years as a tank commander in the military before switching his focus to helping struggling readers. He found reading challenging as a child, and when his own two sons started falling behind in literacy, he turned his attention to finding a solution for children with dyslexia. The Easyread System was founded a decade ago and has been helping elementary-aged children ever since. In 2012, he founded Helping Every Child to Read, a nonprofit website that provides free resources and recommendations for parents of struggling readers.

Easyread is a fully supported online program that uses Guided Phonetic Reading (GPR) techniques to help struggling readers get back on track with their literacy. GPR is specially suited for guessers and sight-readers, dyslexics, and children with weak auditory processing through its highly visual representation of phonics. David is passionate about helping children that have tried everything and yet still struggle - his specialty, you could say! His approach is always to start any remedial intervention by getting a full picture of a struggling learner - from stress responses, to early childhood development, to current patterns. Once you can find the root causes for the difficulty, applying the right solution is much easier.

Emily uses a creative and eclectic approach to support children
and families in her practice as a licensed professional counselor. She began
her career as an elementary school music teacher, where she started
experimenting with creative approaches to connect with children. Realizing
that she wanted to work with children in greater depth, Emily then earned a
master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. This opened the doors to continued
education in child development, play therapy, cognitive therapy, and
trauma-focused therapy. At present, Emily finds the use of play, exploration,
and hands-on learning instrumental in helping children to learn not only in
their classrooms but also with their families. She has experience working with children who have a variety of needs and learning styles.
Approach:
When a child has difficulties, it impacts the entire family. Emily uses individual, family, and parent sessions to support the child and
provide opportunities for growth. She also collaborates with other
professionals to create a team of support for the child. In a session, a
combination of play therapy and cognitive strategies help to address a child’s
and family’s needs. Emily enjoys finding creative ways of helping children tackle
a variety of concerns, including combating anxiety or depression, managing
frustration, and adjusting to new circumstances. She also focuses on helping
parents learn how to use the techniques with their children outside of sessions
to continue the child’s growth.

About Jennifer Jackson Holden, Psy.D.
Background:
Dr.
Jennifer Jackson Holden is a Licensed Psychologist and Certified School
Psychologist who practices at the Center for Psychological Services in the
western suburbs of Philadelphia.
There since 1994, she is the managing director of the Center’s Paoli office
and coordinator of the Admissions Testing Program in cooperation with the
Center’s Psychoeducational Division and independent schools throughout the
area.

Dr. Holden's testing practice focuses on identification and addressing of various issues that affect students in the classroom, including learning disabilities and ADHD. Her therapy practice pays particular attention to female development in adolescence and adulthood, parent coaching, and the effect of learning disabilities on the family.
